biography

already by choosing the term misc. as name of a project christopher bleckmann and hannes wenner made clear that they do not want to accept any boundaries here.
this approach directly reflects in the string of releases which lead without ado from a well balanced techouse album on the edge between homelistening and dancefloor (“in between”, resopal) in 2003 to a strictly floor-oriented minimal-techno album in 2004 (“crunch time” sender). even to kompakt sub-label speicher a smart banging track made its way (“status now”). 2005 saw their third album “like morning in your eyes” again on sender, where they found a way to combine the more energetic aspects with their musicality.
it´s no surprise that well known artists like depeche mode, dominik eulberg or savas pascalidis have put trust in their talent for outstanding remixes.
besides all diversity there is still a core that can be found in every single misc. track: you will always feel a certain emphasis on radical basslines and on a good dramatic development in all the tracks. plus it is of course no coincident that in nearly every review the high quality of production is mentioned. this is something the two really care about. in addition to these more technical aspects there also is some serious emotional content in all the misc. tracks.

in the meantime misc. have also developed a reputation as one of the best minimal-techno live-acts around. they are playing in clubs all over europe nearly every weekend, always pushing the crowds to their limit of euphoria with sets that are changing every night. here – just as always when misc. is involved – you have to be ready for unexpected moves and moments.
