the sound of "process" was introduced on the then newly formed traum label of cologne, producing numerous dance floor friendly tracks.

since then he has continued to release regularly on traum, creating and refining his individual take on minimal and atmospheric club tracks, as well as playing many times all over mainland europe, america and japan.

recently he has released records on trapez (with riley reinhold) and my best friend, trapez more techno, my best friend influenced by house, techno and disco. to reflect the differing sound of these two labels he records under his real name, "steve barnes" and his other alter ego, "cosmic sandwich", with his live act taking elements from his traum, trapez and mbf sounds.
