musik hat schon immer ein wichtige rolle in sophies leben gespielt. nach frühen erfahrungen mit dem piano kamen erst popmusik der 80er, dann dancefloor und independent der 90er und schließlich die elektronische musik – ob techno, house oder acid… all das, was man in den frankfurter clubs zu hören bekam….
den ersten kontakt mit elektronischer musik hatte sophie 1994-95 durch die hr-clubnight. danach geprägt durch die frankfurter musikszene in clubs wie der box, das omen und das dorian gray und durch im näheren umfeld organisierte undergroundparties war all das nicht mehr wegzudenken. nach der schliessung der für sie drei wichtigsten clubs in frankfurt öffnete das u 60311 seine pforten und wurde zum neuen anlauf punkt und musikalischer inspiration. zum jahrtausendwechsel 2000 kam dann noch das ex-palazzo in bingen hinzu, dessen heutige veranstaltungen durch die we love music crew den mittelpunkt ihres dj daseins bildet.
anfang 2002 entschloss sich sophie endlich selbst aufzulegen… erst nur zu hause und auf kleinen privatparties. dann ende 2004 durch zufällig in umlauf geratene selbstgemixte cd's wurde die ex-palazzo-crew (we love music) auf sie aufmerksam und seit anfang 2005 darf sie wlm als ihre residency bezeichnen und hat seitdem schon in namenhaften clubs, auf events oder auch bei internet-musiksendern ihr mixing zum besten gegeben. studiosessions wie auch die auftritte mit namhaften artists bringen bereits sophies talent zur geltung. mit ihrer sympatischen ausstrahlung und ihrer mixtechnik an den plattentellern bringt sie jede nacht in die richtige schwingung und hat sich als newcomerin im rhein-main-gebiet als auch im saarland schon eine fangemeinde aufgebaut. ihr style bewegt sich zwischen minimal, techhouse bis hin zum techno. die partycrowd und der spirit sind aussschlaggebend für die entsprechende gangart. |

| music has always been a vital part of sophies life. following early piano experiences, the 80s where filled with pop, followed by 90s dancefloor and indypendent, which eventually led her to electronic music regardless of techno, house or acid the frankfurt club scene set the beat. sophies first contact with electronic music dates back to 1994, listening to the celebrated radio show hr-clubnight, which then featured live sets of techno legends like sven väth and carl cox. highly influenced by the music played in clubs like frankfurts box, omen, dorian gray and especially in off-the-wall locations where underground parties took place, techno became part of her life. with all her favorite clubs closing down in 1999, frankfurts u60311 became the new party hub and the source of her musical inspiration. in 2000, she started clubbing in bingens renowned palazzo, and today its parties organized by the we-love-music crew make the core of her dj life. in early 2000 sophie eventually decided to deejay on her own. first at home and at various smaller parties. by a mere coincidence at the end of 2004, some of her mixed tapes caught the eye of the we-love-music-crew, which was instantly attracted to sophies unique style of encompassing diverse music elements ranging from minimal, techhouse to techno. and as soon as the beginning of 2005, the we-love-music became her home base. since then, sophie has not only been performing in well-known clubs, festivals and radio shows, but also showing her talented skills in studio sessions and as supportive act for germans techno elites. her uplifted spirit and exceptional mixing skills are the perfect ingredients for every party night and have contributed to a growing fan scene at the rhein-main area. style-wise ranging broadly between minimal, techhouse and techno, sophie responds to the party crowd and keeps them moving. |
